How to read the result
Both rates use cases × 200,000 ÷ hours worked. DART cases are a subset of recordable cases. Compare the same rate definition, reporting period, industry, ownership sector and geography wherever data supports it. Workforce size and small case counts affect interpretation.
One additional case shows sensitivity to your entered hours. A year-to-date rate is not a forecast. The comparison gap is a difference in rates, not an industry percentile. A lower reported rate alone does not demonstrate effective risk controls.
